After getting in touch with artist Robert McGreevy, we are happy to announce that Mr. McGreevy will be doing a painting of the JB Ford in her early livery as the Edwin F. Holmes, it will depict her sailing into the Duluth piers in 1905 past the broken wreckage of the Mataafa, depicting a noteworthy moment in her long history. Having survived the full force of the great storm, and having been two days over due she sailed undamaged into the harbor with several reminders of the devastation and death toll within sight of the newly completed bridge. We will be making prints of the painting once completed to sell in order to raise funds to help our efforts. A BIG thanks to Mr. McGreevy for doing this for the Society.
